CRIME STOPPERS encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement in the fight against crime by overcoming two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.

CRIME STOPPERS encourages citizens to volunteer vital information to help law enforcement fight crime.  We provide a telephone number & Internet as a way for people to provide tips.  

Tipsters remain anonymous.  They are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given leads to an arrest of a felony offender.

All information that comes into the CRIME STOPPERS tipline is kept completely confidential.  Callers never have to give their names or appear in court.

CRIME STOPPERS relies on volunteers and tax deductible contributions for our support.

Reward Information and Conditions

Any person, except as restricted below, who directly contacts  Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest and gives information which leads to the arrest and filing of charges against an adult or juvenile, or arrest of a fugitive wanted in a felony case, will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest will not pay rewards for information provided through any source other than calls to its program.

The following individuals are not eligible for rewards:

  1. A commissioned law enforcement officer or other employees of law enforcement agencies and members of their immediate family.
  2. Perpetrator or co-perpetrator of the crime if known.
  3. Victim of the crime and members of their immediate family.
  4. The fugitive.
  5. Security personnel, Bail Bonds Agents and their associates.

Crime Stoppers accepts tips and information about crimes in order to solve or prevent such crimes.   Users who communicate their own criminal threats by making them through Crime Stoppers are not considered to be Crime Stoppers tipsters; are not eligible for rewards; are not immune from prosecution; and are exempted from the promise of anonymity.
